Podere La Cava

Gite très agréable et calme dans une belle région italienne teintée de diversité. Chaleureux accueil de la propriétaire.
La qualité des revêtements routiers mis à part les autoroutes...... tout comme en France ! Rien a redire sur le gîte.
Pour se rendre à Florence utiliser le bus qui dépose au centre ville. Ne pas oublier de visiter Siene et San Giminiano.

Wir suchten eine Oase, in mitten der Toskana .wir haben sie gefunden.bei Daniela und ihrer familie.das Haus rostre,das wir gemietet hatten,hat uns alles geboten und wir fühlten uns rundum wohl.auch ohne tv.danke daniela.auch unser Hund ole wird sich gerne an cora erinnern.wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder. Wir können die Adresse nur weiter empfehlen.

Own space but within a group of houses. Views, house was charming

Petite location de rêve en Toscane, située au milieu des oliviers, des vignes et des cyprès. La propriétaire, Daniela et sa famille sont très sympathiques et disponibles malgré leurs activités.La déco nous a beaucoup plu: chambre à coucher très agréable et belle salle de bains. Nous avons quitté cette location avec regrets et nostalgie....
Pour aller visiter Florence, laisser sa voiture au parking de San Casciano et prendre le bus, c\'est ce qui est le plus confortable.

Ne pas hésiter à petit déjeuner ou diner sur place, c'est impécable. 

Gorgeous farm cottage with a rustic, authentic feel and renovated to comfortable modern standards. It was a good base for day trips out to surrounding villages in the region. A lovely gift of the family's wine. 
The surrounding views are breathtaking but you can't actually see them from the outdoor seating area. The small, poorly lit winding roads to the cottage make driving at night difficult. 
Make more of the views eg trim hedges. 

Abbiamo trascorso 15 splendidi giorni nel settembre 2013 e la tranquillità in questa bella casa finemente ristrutturata, circondata dalle attenzioni di Daniela e animata da visite di Cora (cane) e Giacomo (gatto). Consigliamo caldamente Podere La Cava.

What a beautiful place! Not far from the Florence's attractions still very quiet and cozy with only nightingales singing to ever bother you. The house itself has everything one can need; it's both functional and stylishly furnished with vintage things and sweet details. 
Last but not least, Daniela and her family were nice and very welcoming. Daniela helped us discover some new delicious Tuscany cuisine with her dinner and the best ever homemade apricot as well.:) To sum up: highly recommended!

La casa ha tutto ciò che si può bisogno: è sia funzionale ed elegantemente arredate con le cose d'epoca e particolari dolci. Ultimo ma non meno importante, Daniela e la sua famiglia erano belle e molto accogliente. Daniela ci ha aiutato a scoprire qualche nuova deliziosa cucina Toscana con la sua cena e la marmellata di albicocche migliori mai fatte in casa :) In sintesi:. Altamente consigliato!

Die Unterkunft ist absolut ruhig mitten zwischen den Olivenbäumen und den Weinreben. Der Wein "Alla casalinga" von der Frau Daniela schmeckt übrigens auch hervorragend.
Die Nähe der Stadt Florenz nacht diese Lokalität auch sehr atraktiv. Nach Pisa ist es auch nicht weit. Wenn es zu heiß wird, kann man in San Casciano im Freibad baden und am Abend ein wunderbares Restaurant Cinque di Vino besuchen. Es lont sich auch die kleinen niedlichen Dörfer entlang der Chianti-Straße nach den Köstlichkeiten der Küche und der Weinkeller abzusuchen.

Domek jest cudowny, pieknie umeblowany starymi meblami, z niesamowitym klimatem. Bylismy na przelomie kwietnia i maja 2010, pogoda byla przecudna, 20-25 stopni. Lokalizacja jest fantastyczna, sprzyjajaca jednodniowym wycieczkom (Florencja, Siena, San Giminiano i inne urocze male miasteczka. Zdecydowanie polecamy.
Our stay at the farmhouse in Mercatale Val di Pesa was AMAZING! We were in April/May 2010, weather was fine. The location of the farmhouse was perfect as we were able to travel easily to day-trip destinations all over Tuscany (Firenze, Siena, San Giminiano...). The farmhouse was clean and beautifully decorated (many old furniture).

Nous avons passé quelques jours idylliques de Pâques à Podere La Cava. Nous avons apprécié le cadre tranquille, le confort de l'appartement très joliment meublé, les lits confortables, la terrasse ensoleillée, la cuisine pratique, la documentation toursitique à disposition, et l'accueil chaleureux de Daniela. Il faisait froid au début du séjour (et le chauffage est cher!) mais le beau temps est vite venu nous faire oublier cette fraîcheur initiale. Notre fils de 2 ans a beaucoup apprécié son lit de bébé et il a bien profité de l'espace.

We stay at Podera la Cava for ten days in April 2009. The weather was worse. But we feel a amazing guestfriendship from Daniela (the owner). It was so wonderful to stay there. It's a great combination of silence (the cat's, living there, knows) and to see how hard the farmer work is. The house is old style (very nice!) with wonderful furniture (it looks fit up with love for fine things!) and very well equipped. It is a pleasure to cook in the kitchen.
The landscape is fantastic, the house is wonderful and better as could be and Daniela is really very friendly and busy!

Mi sono trovato davvero bene, la proprietaria è stata gentile e disponibilissima, il posto è stupendo e tranquillo. La sistemazione è molto rustica ed accogliente, tutto in perfetto ordine e il prezzo è ottimo.

We think of making our retirement in the region and would like to know of any long term rentals- if you could recommend sweet little houses like yours.

This place was perfect for my family. We are two adults and a child, and the accomodations were just right. We like to be \'off the beaten path\' a little bit (not surrounded by other tourists), and the property was just right for this. Daniela was wonderful and although she was busy harvesting olives, we knew she was there if we needed anything.
We felt like we were in the heart of chianti (the house is in a small hamlet), away from the bigger tourist accomodations. We could take walks in the countryside right from our door, and it was a short drive to town for groceries, etc. Only thing we missed was having laundry. After doing a fair amount of hiking, we needed it!
We used a book called something like \\\\\\\'Walking in Tuscany\\\\\\\' which provided us with wonderful hikes through small villages/hamlets and farms. As a result, we were able to see parts of Tuscany unavailable by car. Also recommend the town of Greve - the guidebooks made it sound small and somewhat inconsequential, but we found it lovely and just what we needed after a long outing. Again, we were there off season so Greve might be quite crowded in the summer.

Our host made us feel most welcome and made our stay a pleasant one
We had hired a car so getting around was no problem.The accommodation is on a farm so the public transport is not nearby. If you are a wine drinker avoid the large commercial wineries there are many small wine farms with good and well priced wines.
